The AOpen XC Cube Mini MZ855-II is the latest small desktop from AOpen, a Taipei-based PC company that manufactures PCs for larger vendors and also sells systems under its own brand name. Maybe that's the cost in yen?

Does that $449 or so include the mobo and processor?

It will include the motherboard, but likely not the CPU.

$449 seems a bit more expensive then some of the Shuttle rigs over at NewEgg. I'm wondering what the added value is.

I purchased the Shuttle XPC SN85G4V3 (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=56-101-462&DEPA=0) for $259.00 from NewEgg.

True, but the SB95P from Shuttle is $415 (http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16856101466) (damn it rocks though - I have one) so we'll have to wait and see what kind of hardware is inside this thing. It's likely the 925XE chipset, which tends to be expensive.

Wow $200 after rebate now. I might just pick one of those up, thanks.

Yeah, it was a great deal when I bought it.
I'm working on an HTPC and got most of my parts from NewEgg.
