This trick improves the roaming performance of Verizon phones.

If you have a Verizon cell phone you can punch in *228, click 'Send' or 'OK' and prompt 2. Repeat this every 2 to 3 months and it will update your Roaming profile and give you better reception when calling.

PS: Not sure if I should put this in Tips n Tricks forum because this is not Smartphone trick, but a generic carrier specific trick.

I have done that before but it really did not help that much for my service. Does it work really well for you?

Dont worry about it :D Has anyone else had any luck with it or have any other tricks with verizon service?

This updates the PRL (Prefered Roaming List) and should be done monthly.

I've been doing it for some time. It does seem to help. I get service after doing that that I couldn't before.
