Default Computerworld Discusses Future of Zune

http://computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9018261&intsrc=hm_list

"Beyond the design, Microsoft is also likely to expand the Wi-Fi capabilities in the Zune, Stephenson said. Without revealing specifics, Stephenson described possible scenarios that are being discussed, such as enabling Zune users to download music over Wi-Fi in public hot spots or to sync with their PC-based music collections while at home."

This information comes from Zune's marketing director Chris Stephenson in a Computerworld article yesterday. He just adds some fuel to the fire of the possible upcoming announcements. If you remember, we reported last week that there supposed to be an announcement today regarding the Zune. I suppose we could just wait a few hours to find out what they'll actually say but that's not any fun.

With all of the anticipation for the possible announcements, Microsoft really does need to have some good stuff soon or I think there will be a lot of disappointed people out there. Since a lot of this comes from confirmed official sources I feel very comfortable about what we'll see.

Thanks for the info David....
While I would really like to see new features for the Zune, I am a pretty happy camper right now!
I have had my Zune since Feb, and I will admit at first it was a bit of a struggle. I can do things on the computer, NO not really, if it wasnt for my wife I would still only have the pre-loaded stuff on it.
Since Feb though I have downloaded tunes, videos, pics all by my self.
I have used the WiFi feature some, with folks at work, but for me thats not a really big thing.
What I would like is some video support on MarketPlace.
I dont have a problem with the Zune at all, its a great device and I keep finding new things I can do with it every day, but it kinda ticks me off that I had to go "off site" and spend more $$'s to find a way to get video to my Zune.
Ok, I am now stepping off my box.....
