120 GB Zune Confirmed...But You Already Knew That
<p>Not much to see here, but I just got word from Zune team member Cesar Menendez (of <a href="http://www.zuneinsider.com" target="_blank">Zune Insider</a> fame) that the 120 GB Zune we saw in the FCC docs is official:</p><p><em>"You've probably all seen about 120GB @the FCC- and just wanted to send you a note to confirm that is indeed part of the plan. There's definitely more details coming in the way of new software and hardware, pricing etc."</em></p><p>So we know it's coming, and it's real. The mention of new software, hardware, and pricing sounds interesting! Let's see what next couple of months will bring...</p>

Microsoft's paid bloggers are pretty sad.

True, FCC pretty much gave us definitive proof that the Zune 120 existed. but the statement about software and new hardware does add a little to what we already know. Plus sometimes its nice to get an official word on top of the what the net world is able to glean from the fields.

If this is anything like the Xbox 360's upgrade to a 120GB hard drive, that software announcement will hopefully mean full-length movies becoming available in the Zune marketplace.

i thought that the Xbox and zune marketplaces were due to merge? If thats the case then getting movies would make sense. But really....the Zune30 and 80 could handle movies a long time ago.
only one problem, movies are wide screen....zune is not. If they let me get a full screen download of the movie for free (or very cheap, like 50 points to cover bandwidth costs) for every movie I bought on xbox, I could go for that.
the Zune needs to go wide screen.....fast.

Sweet! I still have 20 gigs left on my 80, give me the ability to use my zune as an external drive and I’ll upgrade to the bigger size, also make any new zune 80’s have the same gloss as the red 80 zune.
<O
We need movies on marketplace and some Xbox integration. <O
