Default Verizon Launches HTC Ozone

http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=7345

"Verizon Wireless has launched the HTC Ozone, a QWERTY candybar smartphone that runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and is based upon the HTC Snap. The Ozone features dual-connectivity to Verizon's CDMA network and to GSM networks around the world. The device features 3G and WiFi data connectivity, a high-capacity 1500mAh battery, Bluetooth with A2DP, and more for a handsome price."

Seems like everyone's getting in on the Snap like device. Verizon is the latest renaming the Snap to Ozone. You can read the specs above. I really like the 1500mAh battery. That could go a long way. Dual connectivity sounds cool too.  If you love Windows Mobile and want a Bold, Jack, or Treo like device, this seems like a good choice. So are any of you Verizon customers going to jump on board with this one?

Me Me Me. Goodby BB Storm. After using the Omina and the BB Storm (don't get me started on the OS) I have discovered I am not a touchscreen person at least when it comes to messaging. Don't get me wrong, the Storm is much better for inputing text over the Omnia IMO, bu the OS just drove me bananas. The overall form factor for me personally of the Storm and I would find myself going WOW if this was just a WinMo device I would be holding on to it for awhile.

Default Tempting Offer

Even though I am only at 1 year deep in my current New Every Two, it looks like I can get this for the $50 price as well. I am very tempted. I love my Q9M, especially since porting the 6.1 ROM onto it. However, the unlocked GPS (hooray, Google Maps can actually know where I am), the WiFi, and GSM world roaming all are nice icing on an inexpensive cake. Since I have been using a WinMo device of one kind or another for quite a few years (started with a Motorola MPX-200) I won't have to figure out or reinvest in a new garden and application suite. I have to say I like the DataViz Docs 2 Go over the Mobile Office package though, so that is weighing on my mind.

I'm sitting here with a Samsung Jack and I find it hard to believe that these two phones aren't related. I they are made by two different manufacturers but what's the difference between them? Other than software.
