Posting long links
Greetings!
I've seen long links (and short links) posted with just the word "here" as the link. How is that done?

Use the URL button above your post entry
the format of the command shows in the tip area.
I'll paste it modified - replace all Parens (), with brackets []
Insert URL: (url)http://url(/url) or (url=http://url)URL text(/url)

The above two posts are actually two different methods, although they are both correct. The URL tags (with square brackets) are UBB code, whereas the A HREF (with angle brackets) are HTML. This forum allows both types of code.
If you are ever having any sort of problems because a URL itself is too long and you need a shorter version, there is always TinyURL.

Okay, here is my first attempt just to make sure I understand the suggestions:
Here is a good place to get free ppc software.
This is another one.
I'll probably use the TinyURL method as a last resort due to occasionally when someone has used that method, the filtering system where I work wouldn't let me access it.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions! I like learning new things!
