How to mark up text using only the keyboard???
I'm in a personal crusade 0X of minimizing the use of the mouse. And, I have found how to navigate screen interface and dialog boxes, but something important is missing...how to mark up text in a document or spreadsheet using only the keyboard, in order to make edition.
Anyone knows how to do it?

What do you mean by "marking up" text? Are you referring to selecting the text? If so, Shift and the arrow keys should do it.

Well if that's the case, a few pointers: 8)
Shift + Left/Right arrow keys to select each letter.
Shift + Ctrl + Left/Right arrow keys to select each word.
Shift + Up/Down arrow keys to select each line.
Shift + Page Up/Page Down to select the contents of the page above or below the line.
Shift + Home/End to select the contents before or after the cursor on the same line.
Enjoy!

How did you learn all that?
I'm missing my Windows 3.0 reference guide (I threw it a couple of years ago...I thought it was of no utility)
Again, :werenotworthy:

Not sure how DJ learned it but I learned that trick from working in Excel a lot. Cntl + Up/down/right/left or Crtl + shift + Up/down/right/left
Then just tried it in word and it worked.
