Default Damaged NTFS partition - Need good data recovery tool

O.K., so I have one seriously pooched drive here. I need software recomendations from the thoughts community! I have one folder I need to recover.

The ugly details: Can't boot. Tried to slave the drive and it shows up in Windows as unformatted. Tried an NTFS boot disk to check the drive and can't access it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Steve

Ontrack makes data recovery software as does BitMart. You can Google those two companies up and you'll be guaranteed a wad of links which you can check out.

They may have demo versions that you can sample out...I'm not 100% sure.

There are also other apps out there. One's called PC Inspector I think, the other is one called Data Recovery by R-Studio.

In my experiences, I have sampled most of these and find the ones by Ontrack to be the best.
