PocketPCTools Review Victorinox Mini-Backpack
"Like all mobile techno-geeks I'm always looking for the right bag to carry my gadgets while stumbling out in the streets. When I first got the Toshiba e-800 and later the Sony U-70 I was using a JanSport field bag that I picked up years ago in a Discovery Channel store in the mall. Not very chic, and didn't hold very much, but it worked OK. My wife calls it my "man purse" and generally made fun of it so I had my eye out for a replacement that would work better and carry all my stuff. I found a good solution for me at a Bag N Baggage store in the local mall. I've always liked Victorinox stuff as it's usually very well made and rugged. They're the Swiss Army Knife people, if you're wondering why that name is familiar. The bag I settled on is the Mini-Backpack by Victorinox."
The PocketPCTools review sees Jkendric giving the Victorinox backpack a good going over. The photos showing all the ways to carry this versatile bag are interesting and they do indicate the scale of the bag well. It's rather small in case you were wondering. :wink: Still, Jkendric manages to pack a Sony U-70, a Fellowes Stowaway keyboard, cell phone, Keys, a Toshiba e800, a Canon S-50 camera and a whole lot more into it. I usually carry a larger ransack around with me when I need to carry a similar full day's worth of gadgets, but this does look an interesting more compact alternative. What storage solutions do you guys use for similar situations? The final endorsement in the review just goes to show that this bag just isn�t suitable for Brad :wink: :

Still looks like something my wife would use :lol:
Targus Backpack for a full day (including Laptop) or shorts/trousers with big pockets for when I just need the small things in life (Ipod/IPAQ/Phone). Haven't managed to find a bag which doesn't look...
A - Naff
B - Like I like musical theater
C - A Big sticker on the back saying steal me please

I've used the Roadwired Pod since last December. Protects my stuff well. I do get a little tired of explaining to people that it's not a camera bag. Calling it a "Digital Lifstyle" bag usually gets me a funny look. But it is very well crafted.

The pictures in the review don't help any. Why not use a GUY instead of a woman ? Don't they know we already have a complex about carrying a man purse?

My daughter was the only model available at the time so now she's the famous one.
I feel your pain and will be reviewing the "Man Bag" shortly.

Personally, don't like the small backpack look. My wife's purse is of that exact style (Coach leather though).
I've been using this for a while and it really works for me:

I use a military style tool bag. It holds my water bottle, Pocket PC, Digital Camera, pens, knives, etc.
It has 2 outside pockets and 8 tiny pockets inside that fits two AA's side by side, or a tube of chapstick, or a mini-Leatherman.
It is cloth, so without the stuffing it does not look so boxy.
It actually looks quite decent and well....MANLY!!! :wink:
BTW - Mine is BLACK, not Olive (my olive bag was retired a little over a year ago)

The problem that I have is that I find all belt clips look.....well....dorky.
But I like to carry to much gear to fit in my pockets normally I find I have to leave my camera behind. You know what I need? A device wlth ppc + hdd mp3 player + mobile phone + gps + proper digital camera all in one
