That's not what this does (you're talking about Image Stabilization; I know what that is). This doesn't stabilize the image or compensate for movement in any way. What it does do is hold off on releasing the shutter on the camera after you press it until the camera is perfectly still.

The net effect is the same, but it's not the same exact idea.
