Software Licenses and VMWare
I don't know how odd it sounds to ask this question, but I am just curious. Is it legal to install a second copy of software on a Virtual Machine (VMWare Workstation) like Norton Anti-Virus where the 1st copy already exists on the same machine (real one)? Using the same CD?

I'm betting that it would be considered a violation of the license - however I'm not sure.
I am kind of interested in the real answer to this though.

Just because the machine is 'virtual' doesn't mean it's not a second machine, having the same licensing requirements any other machine would.
Problem with asking this sort of question in a forum though, is it requires a definitive answer from a lawyer, which is the only category of people that aren't going to answer. At least no in their capacity as a lawyer.
