Default HP Bluetooth Full Sized Keyboard

https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/..._id=\'O62G950\'

The FCC has posted a number of documents on the new HP Bluetooth Keyboard, including a 20 page user manual.

I just got these links so really haven't had time to read up on it and see if it will work with non-iPAQ devices, older Pocket PC 2002 iPAQs with bluetooth or anything else. Dig in though. There is plenty to read. You'll need Adobe Reader for most of the documents.

I haven't read through all the documents also but one thing I noticed on the user manual (pg 17/faq E)... there is a current issue where the Pocket PC will not "wake up" (turn ON) if the PPC is switched OFF while the session for the keyboard is ON. They said that in order to solve this, it is necessary to upgrade the "IPAQ ROM Version" (link to HP website provided). Sad to say... it seems like this is just for iPaq Pocket PC's. :-(

Hmm.. I"m not sure if I like the fact that the Pocket PC would be offcenter when placed in the holder. Has anyone ever used an "off-center" keyboard like this one? Is the difference noticeable?

Personally, I always place my monitor a wee bit to the left of the middle. I find it more comfortable that way.

Soooo... now we have three different mobile bluetooth keyboards all from ThinkOutside, Noka and HP! 8O Now, this is making it hard to choose... ... unless, someone forgets to make regional European keyboards -- then I will not be anything near happy!

Does anyone know if the Logitech or Microsoft Bluetooth keyboards can be used with any Pocket PCs? Are there any BT drivers out there that could do this?

My only reservation about this keyboard is that it's made by HP. Nothing wrong with HP mind you, but I suspect this keyboard won't receive the same level of "universal" support that equivalent keyboards from ThinkOutside or Targus would receive. Of course if BT is implemented the way it should be, it shouldn't matter, but experience tells me different...
