Default Zune HD: Low Volume?

I just got my 32GB Zune HD and noticed a difference in the sound volume.
I"m using the same premium ear buds that came with my Zune 80 but I noticed that I need to turn the volume on my HD up to 14 or 15 to get the same level that I used to get at 11 on my Zune 80.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've noticed the same...also with the zune 80 premium buds. I don't think it's a problem...it's different hardware, and also there is recent sensitivity to hearing damage from mp3 players in the news. they may even have turned it down on purpose.

The regular Zune's volume goes up to 20, but the Zune HD goes up to 30.
