Default The Amazingly Fluid Speed of the Zune HD

One word: wow! This video really shows off how fast and fluid the user interface on the Zune is. This is really impressive stuff. There are other videos here (check out the amazing off-axis viewing angle and brightness) and here (showing the HD video out, though unfortunately the camera never quite gets into focus).

Very nice. The zoom animation between 1:52 and 1:55 is a little nasty, though.

Indeed very nice. Why, again, is WM not using this platform?

I'm not convinced the twist UI maps so intuitively to touch, but I guess time will tell.

True. I expect though that the Zune team will follow the same pattern as previous devices - when you dock the device for the first time, it will download a new ROM image...and that means the Zune team can keep improving performance up until the Zune is officially launched. Pretty slick!
