Default ZuneTVWatcher: MCE to Zune Conversion

http://thegreenbutton.com/blogs/chris_blog/archive/2007/03/04/173703.aspx

"A new program out today, ZuneTVWatcher kind of starts to pick-up where Microsoft left off with lame Media Center and Zune integration.  It will automatically monitor your Recorded TV folder, and then convert your recordings to go on the Zune. You might be saying, “Hey, I can do this already”.  But that one thing that you might not already be able to do is sync the shows and have the metadata put them into the "TV Shows" section on the Zune.  Right now, if you use third party tools to convert your recordings, they will likely be put in the “Videos” section.  That's not much fun!"

Believe it or not, I don't have a TV tuner connected to my PC, so I'm not able to test this, but I'm sure if I did this would be invaluable to me.  I miss the days when I could record TV with my TV Wonder and copy it over to my Archos for watching on the train...  OK, maybe I'll have to get myself a tuner card now...

Wouldn't you know it. I tried various free programs that did not work out too well, so I finally bought a program (Cucusoft Converter I think it is called). Then of course this one comes out for free, and works better.

If you have a media center, ZuneTVWatcher works flawlessly. I tried it out over the weekend and it keeps my Zune up to date with my recorded programs. All you have to do is install the program and connect your zune, it works in the background and doesn't tie up your computer or need a lot of input from you like many of the other programs...including the for pay programs.
