Audio with 80 GB
I just found a 80 GB Zune (only one in my town, I think ).
I am not sure if I am having an issue. Sometimes I will fast forward to a song I like. After fast forward it makes a noise like the HD spinning up, then a quick beep-beep and then static. This all takes about 2 seconds at the start of each song. If I take the volume of the device to zero, I can hear the noise a lot better if someone is going to try and replicate.
Do I have a bad unit that I need to replace? Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it? I love the player, but that part is annonying, especially the beep-beep at the start of a song.
Thanks!
jp

Congrats and welcome to Zune Thoughts! I'm happy you decided to stop by.

I tried what you described doing with my Zune 80 and didn't hear any of what you're hearing - so I suspect you have a defective Zune...unless somehow you have corrupt MP3 files with bad headers that the Zune might have trouble reading. Grab an MP3 from www.rcrdlbl.com and see if you have the same problem...

Thanks Jason...
Bummer! I don't think I will be getting a replacement any time soon. The 80 GB are very hard to find!
Thanks for checking though, I appreciate it.

My 80gb zune is doing the same thing. It's really annoying but it doesn't seem to be effecting the functionality of the device at all.
