Kanye West and Talib Kweli Join the Zune BBQ
"Microsoft Zune has teamed up with Kanye West and Talib Kweli to offer fans new multi-media content exclusively in the Zune Marketplace and Zune.net. During the summer of 2007, Zune put itself on the Hip Hop map by launching their "Live At The BBQ" series. During July and August, Zune hosted free outdoor concerts in LA, Chicago, and NYC. The concerts featured performances by Common, Mos Def, MIMS, Little Brother, as well as Talib Kweli. Now, Zune will bring fans exclusive footage of Kanye West's VMA Party, as well as a remix of "Can't Tell Me Nothin'," a track off of his new album Graduation."

Hip-hop isn't really my preferred type of music, but even the mostly-ignorant such as myself recognizes the brand power of an artist such as Kanye West. Hey, is paying for Kanye West to perform why I don't have a clock on my Zune...? Haha...

I think people blame the BBQs and Zune busses for the lack of firmware updates, when the real culprit is the Zune management. Just throwing money at the Zune obviously hasn't helped them, and I really wish someone would just hint at why we've been waiting this long. We're nearing the point that they won't dare release a firmware update lest they cannibalize the Zune 2.0's sales.
Zune 2.0 better be amazing.

i know not now, but in an update soon. a clock is important, another thing just like vids in zmp that should have been there from the start or near to. one thing that i am hoping for in the zune 2.0 is the ability to pick up over the air, hd channels.

An OTA HD tuner? Wow - that's a big ask! The CPU cycles for decoding and down-sampling HD signals would be pretty big, wouldn't it?

possibly, but reg tv signals would be redundant with the forced switch to hd in the near future. but im sure we have the tech to make it possible. and think about it, you can watch sunday night football on the can while your $400 iphone cannot. 1 way to get people to get zunes.
