The matte finish is extremely appealing, and the design up close is striking with a combination of curves and angles. A decent sensor that gives respectable results at higher sensitivity levels and high-speed shooting means it has the brains to back the looks up. After some lacklustre compact cameras Canon's finally putting some pizzaz in the last couple of batches of cameras!</p>
