In another story, they also issued an update for iPads, iOS 3.2.1. The iPad update fixes a Wi-Fi issue and also adds Bing to the search options.

both updates completed. took a long time, so i'm guessing that Apple's servers (or Akamai's edge servers) were getting hammered. i haven't noticed anything different, but I wasn't experiencing any of the problems described.

The only thing I noticed was the larger bars in the signal strength meter. But then, I think that's all it was -- just the tweaking of the meter. Plus, I haven't had any of the other reported problems with mine.

The bars are larger. Is that so we don't notice the lower signal strength?
