Just completed the upgrade process on my factory-unlocked 3GS, and the entire process took about thirty (30) minutes, including download time. Apple's servers seem to be handling the load - so far. The first task was to organize everything into folders (In my opinion, folders are the best new feature).

My home screen after the upgrade ... cluttered.

<MORE />

My home screen after organization into folders. Simple!

So, it seems like Apple has learned well from past experience, and have the necessary server/bandwidth to push out this large update (I heard 378MB) to millions of eager users. So far, so good. Well done Apple!

I really like the folders function as well, it works pretty slick. I didn't have any problems with downloading or installing.

I was able to download the file directly pretty quickly. I am already running the GM seed on my 3GS. Apparently the only big difference between the two is the Game Center (which wasn't really working yet anyway) has been removed from this final release. It is supposed to return sometime in the fall. Some other bug fixes are also incorporated. I'll probably install it as soon as I feel like setting all my folders back up again.

Installed last night quickly and without any problems. Love the folders...tho I dont like that I need to categorize my games, for example, because I have more than a folder could hold.

I have my folders categorized in the following way:
Music
Social
Productivity
Tech (News Sites)
News
Navigation
Reference
Shopping
Finance
Photo Tools
Real Estate
Webcam
Health & Food
AT&T
Books
Games
Arcade

I have Clock, Weather. Contacts, Settings, Safari, Calculator, Camera, Photos, & YouTube on the front page along with Calendar, Mail, Messages and Phone in the Tray

Background images are nice. Photo zoom may come in handy...but probably not. Video focus is nice. Merged Mailboxes are long overdue.

All of that...why do I still want MORE features?

I wish Folders would allow unlimited Apps to be placed inside with vertical scrolling (similar to Categories on Jailbroken iPhones). I have about 10 different Folders just for different categories of Games. Maybe Steve Jobs is telling me I need to do a games clean-up. :)

Nested folders might be a nice touch for the next update.
