Reports are that it was <a href="http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2010/06/would-be-upgraders-thwarted-by-iphone-4-preorder-problems.ars" target="_blank">world-wide</a> so it wasn't isolated to just the US, but it still doesn't excuse the lack of pre-planning in my opinion.&nbsp;</p>

First, the iPad, and now iPhone 4. I'm expecting the July wave of countries will suffer delays as a result. :(

Not really unexpected. I'm just glad I got my order in early before everything crashed & burned! And I'm sure on the 24th we'll see the same thing happen with activation.

Really though what fun would an i(insert name here)<INSERT name here> launch be without this kind of thing happening? ;)
