The move follows a day of chaotic scenes at computer terminals in five countries yesterday, as iPhone 4 desiring consumers fruitlessly banged their fingers against the keyboard in hope that somehow their pre-order would get through."

AT&T isn't the only place where pre-order changes are happening. Over at Apple, when I tried to pre-order a second iPhone, I got a message telling me that they have exhausted their supplies for pre-orders but I could stand in line on a first-come, first-served basis and possibly still get another iPhone 4. Oh, and for shipping, they have moved the date to July 2nd if done online. And UK, Germany and Japan have also reported pre-order glitches.
