As expected, these will not go cheap: The basic Talon kit will start at US$649 (not even a complete one at that), and the Hawk VF stars at US$385. To get to the shown setup above, I expect an outlay of about US$1,500. It does look fairly impressive, with good machining and some nice features, but I'll admit that this area is quite new to me, so I'm not able to pick out any flaws at a glance.

I personally have been waiting to get some kind of rig to help with handheld videos, but solutions like the Zacuto (equally expensive) and the Letus are not cheap and make an otherwise small camera big. I am still a little unsure if I want to go in that direction, so I've been sitting on the fence for this one. Anyone has splurged on one of these rigs care to share their experiences?
