Pharos will ship for free, replacement phones that will lack the power management issues and faulty power button issues the early production models developed."

After many complaints about faulty units, a Pharos spokesperson has announced a free replacement program to resolve faulty power button and battery meter issues. In addition to the free trade, Pharos will also upgrade units shipped with Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5.

The Traveler 137 was released in mid-2009 as Pharos' first 3G PND (Personal Navigation Device). While I have not owned a Pharos device, I have read praises about their customer service and this is a reflection of their commitment to keep their customers happy.

Have you used a Traveler 137? It's really nice to see companies stepping up and doing the right thing, even if it costs them money: nicely done Pharos! :)
