At this point there aren't any announcements from manufactures leveraging these new found features, but in the press release Microsoft is certainly bolstering the broadcast TV and other media features in a set-top box."</em></p><p><em><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/dht/auto/1272832860.usr10.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></em></p><p>There are a lot of TVs out there don't have a PC or some sort of extender hardware attached to them. &nbsp; And face it, the built in operating systems on a lot of set top boxes leave a lot to be desired. &nbsp;Embedding Windows 7 into a cable box or other type of inexpensive set-top devices might be just the ticket for the less technosavy members of the population.</p>

Forget about the "less technosavy" people - I'm techno-savy and I hate - HATE - the user interface on the PVR from my cable company. It's AWFUL. It's STUPID. It's CONFUSING. It's ILLOGICAL. It's UNSTABLE. It's like it was designed in 2001 and never updated...I'd pay $100's of dollars to get something better, but can't.
