Say what you will about those talented developers at Adobe - when I stream movies from Netflix using Silverlight on my Mac, it uses fewer system resources than streaming video using the Flash plug in. And that's with Silverlight 3.

I think Silverlight + Apple is one of the "unholy alliances" that we might see as Apple starts to get more ticked off at Google and Adobe.
