In order to make these camera's water resistant, shock resistant, dust resistant, etc, they have to reduce the number of moving parts that may break, such asÂ*a zoomÂ*lens.Â* However the upside is you can go snorkling with it!Â* It really is a camera for the active lifestyle, and while the pictures may not be as good as your normal point and shoot, you will have pictures from places you wouldn't take your normal camera. I've been watching these camera's but I've yet to decide which, if any, to get in order to keep on me while snowboarding and biking as, no surprises here, my normal camera is too fragile and a bit bulky.</p>
