Straight currency conversations are inadvisable in such situations, so we'll just have to wait until official stickers for the iPad in Europe are known or HP announces US prices for the Slate."</em></p><p><em><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/dht/auto/1269218291.usr10.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></em></p><p>If this pricing holds true, I think I'll be going with this over the iPad. &nbsp;I know you can make the&nbsp;argument&nbsp;either way, but I prefer having a full OS and the ability to do what I want on the device over the easier to use, but more locked down environment of the iPad. &nbsp;Plus, since this runs Windows, I'll hopefully be able to tether this to my Droid without much trouble. &nbsp;</p>

I've been eyeing an iPad but I've decided to wait for this HP Slate and the Dell Android Tablet.

I agree with you about the full OS and if the HP undercuts the iPad I'll be ordering one.

iPad fell short, totally underwhelming. If the specs are true about the HP Slate, come here!

I'm interested in the HP Slate, but so much of it depends on the specs and the price...and the performance. I have a Samsung UMPC and the performance is just crap. Utterly awful.
