I actually use a website: http://usetrackthis.com

It works with twitter and can send emails and SMS.

The way I use it is simple. I have it hooked to twitter, and so I just send a direct message to the bot with the tracking number and whatever I want to call the package. Then, it auto responds to notify me it got it. From then on, I receive SMS and twitter messages with the location of my package (You can turn SMS/Twitter/Email on or off).

Free, and awesome. :-)
