That screen looks very much like the technology they used on a flat screen for my Apple IIC. It was early LCD with very little contrast, but it was quite a conversation starter. I don't think laptops had even appeared, and portable PC, were more realistically luggable, like the Compaq portable. It looked like a sewing machine case and sported a 9" CRT. My IIc with LCD screen and big 'ol 12V battery couldn't have weighed much more than 10 lbs, but was usable on the hood of a car in the middle of a parking lot. ;)
