Boot Camp 3.1 in 32-bit version and 64-bit version is in and with it comes support (officially) for Apple's wireless keyboard and the Magic Mouse. If you are going to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, you can do so via the Boot Camp Utility upgrade. They have also fixed bugs associated with the Apple trackpad and as a bonus, the infared sensor on all MacBooks turns off when not in use. Read the article for more info on how to do this the efficient and safe way because I don't want you to miss anything! I may in fact do this now, I had been holding off on my older MacBook Pro.

Just downloaded the update file 3.1, it's an .exe file so I can't run it from OSX, so, should I have to install W7 using Boot Camp Assistant 3.0 and update to 3.1 running/from W7?

Thanks in advance for your help.

(I'm running Snow Leopard on a new Macbook Pro)

That is my understanding, here are some detailed steps (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=851746) on how one user did it, I have yet to do this to mine so I am not totally familiar with the process

Well, it's done, the old Apple way: smooth, fast, easy ....

1.- Open Boot Camp Assistant AS IT IS (v3.0)

2.- Following the directions, install W7.

3.- After all those steps, reboot and inserting the OSX 10.6 disc to install the drivers, open the Apple Software Update panel, RUNNING W7.

4.- Download the 3.1 update, and, THAT'S IT!!! Boot Camp updates to 3.1 after running it.

It really updates drivers but it's done from W7 as you said Jeff.

Sorry for the brief, I'm in a hurry, but if more details are needed just post here, I'll be back tomorrow.

Thanks Jeff, I'll be here for sure. :-)
