As promised, the compact NX10 is armed with a large 14.6 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor along with a 3.0 inch AMOLED monitor, pop-up flash, and an electronic viewfinder. Standing toe-to-toe with the competition, Samsung has included 720p HD video capture capability in the NX10. It will record HD videos in H.264 codec."

Samsung is taking on Panasonic and Olympus and their Micro Four Thirds system for mirror-less cameras. This camera has a much larger sensor than its Micro Four Thirds competitors, which presumably will lead to better image quality. Dpreview has a nice hands on preview here. They got their hands on an early pre production model, and their report is fairly positive. I have been thinking about upgrading my Canon ELPH to either an entry level DLSR or one of these new mirror-less models. Mostly for taking photos of my kids sporting events. With all the questions about focus speed and lens selection I will probably end up going with something along the lines of a Rebel T1i, but these cameras are an interesting option.
