I'm just curious on the formats and compatibility issues. For example, I love the Nook but I won't buy it because I have too many books on the Kindle and since from what I've read they aren't compatible, I'm not going to change. What are your thoughts?&nbsp;</p>

"The middle of next year, or sooner."

Hmm. That seems to coincide with rumors I keep hearing about a product allegedly being designed in Cupertino, CA.

It looks nice. It'll be interesting to see what the cost is; if it will be about the same as a regular subscription to the publication - or if you can transfer an existing subscription to a digital one.

As far as today I have no interest in these kind of system as they are.
The day we will have something like the MP3 are for music and these devices will allow me not only to read news but also to control appliances,, house lights, TVs, DVD players etc. etc. I will buy one.
As for books I would not mind the ability, when I buy a real book, to be also able to download a digital copy, even for a small fee.
As for the idea of E-readers replacing my paper books it will never happen; I have more than a thousand of Vinyl LPs and I would never trade them for digital only.
