Notice anything, uh, pink about that photo? There's something screwy with the sensor on the camera - likely related to white balance I'd think - and it thinks the scene deserves a blast of pink. Initially HTC told users that it was a hardware problem, but now it seems it's a software problem and can be fixed with a forthcoming update. Good news for HTC HD2 owners! Myself, I haven't noticed this problem yet, but now that I've said that, I probably will...</p>

I saw this this evening taking a night picture at the Seattle Center Monorail. Manually changing the white balance to Flourescent fixed the picture. I also did not see this happen all of the time in picture taking. The software seems to get confused when there are multiple light sources of different types in a scene and one is not dominant.

Maybe this is the first "Project Pink" device?

You've got hints of the problem in your HTC HD2 Jason. Like I've mentioned, the photo in your Mobious post as a circle of pink in the middle. That's how the problem usually manifests.

actually i found that if you wait a few seconds, the whitebalance finally settles correctly. hm.
