You can go to the <a href="http://www.apple.com/retail/reserve/" target="_blank">Apple site</a> and set aside an iPod or Mac, and pick it up between December 15th and 24th at your favorite Apple store. Kind of like lay away I suppose, except it is up to you to save the money and bring it all in when you pick up the item. An added convenience is having them wrap it for you for $5.00 USD extra. </p>
