Some states have enacted laws so that during certain times of the year, you can buy items tax-free, among the items are clothes, back to school supplies and in some cases, computers. The article lists <a href="http://www.ador.state.al.us/salestax/SalesTaxHol.htm" target="_blank">Alabama</a>, <a href="https://etax.dor.ga.gov/salestax/holiday/2009/faq.aspx" target="_blank">Georgia,</a> <a href="http://revenue.louisiana.gov/sections/general/hottopics/salestaxholiday.aspx" target="_blank">Louisiana</a>, <a href="http://dor.mo.gov/tax/business/sales/taxholiday/school/" target="_blank">Missouri</a>, <a href="http://www.tax.state.nm.us/pubs/FYI-203_2007.pdf" target="_blank">New Mexico</a>, <a href="http://www.dornc.com/taxes/sales/salestax_holiday.html" target="_blank">North Carolina</a>, <a href="http://www.sctax.org/2009SalesTaxHolidayDates.htm" target="_blank">South Carolina</a> and <a href="http://tn.gov/revenue/salestaxholiday/" target="_blank">Tennessee</a> as among those states, so if you live in one of these states, it would be worth your effort to find out the dates and requirements. If you don't, do a Google search on "sales tax holiday" and see if your state has one. </p><p><em><p> </p></em></p>
