I've spent, um, $15 in total perhaps? Still, that's like 12 apps or something. :D

I'd be interested to know what apps you purchased.

I'd be interested to know what apps you purchased.

Hero of Sparta
iDracula
Classics
the four Star Trek comics
Koi Pond
iPhone 3.0 update
Red Dragon (movie)

And that's basically it. Not much, like I said. :-)

Hi guys! I just bought an iPhone 3G recently (no 3GS in Malaysia yet), replacing both my Sony Ericsson phone and Windows Mobile PDA. Am a bit disappointed because iPhone didn't have a 'to-do list' app built-in. After much searching and reading reviews, I bought "Things" @ USD9.99 from App Store. Anyway, it would really save me time if anyone could recommend me these similar Windows Mobile apps (freeware, if possible):

- Spb Finance
- eWallet*
- TomeRaider
- Conversions In Hand*
- VBirthday
- Eval
- MultiPad

* there's an iPhone version but I wanna keep my options open

Thanks in advanced :D

Here are some suggestions. It is, by no means, a definitive list. Try searching keywords in the App Store, and you may find some other apps more to your liking.

Spb Finance

Pennies, Cha-Ching, iBank (coming soon), MoneyWell (coming soon), Money (coming soon).

eWallet

1Password, Wallet.

TomeRaider

Eucalyptus, Classics, BookShelf, iSilo.

Conversions In Hand

Units, ConvertBot (has a great interface).

VBirthday

Occasions, Birthdays.

Eval

Try the bundled Calculator app. Tilt the device horizontally for more options.

MultiPad

WritePad.

@Darius Wey: Thanks for the recommendations. Will check them out soon. And I didn't know the built-in Calculator has more options when tilt to landscape! Sweet!

For others, feel free to suggest. Or at least tell me what apps you're using now ;)

I find I'm using Shazam a lot more recently, to keep track of songs I want to purchase.
I also use the Wells Fargo and Chase banking apps pretty much daily. I've started using Tweetie for twitter more since Boxcar works with it to let me know when someone has "tweeted" me, Rainbow Note for notes, Air Mouse as a remote for my laptop when its plugged into the TV, 1Password since it syncs with my Macbook.
Some of the other apps I use frequently are: myWireless for AT&T, Facebook, Bento, Convertbot, Cards, MLB At Bat 2009, Sportacular, Netnewswire, Amazon Kindle app....and several games like TokiTori and Trism.

Here's what I'm using right now: Bejeweled 2, Bloomberg, Bookworm, Byline (great, if you use Google Reader), Cha-Ching, Critter Crunch, Delivery Status touch, Facebook, Fieldrunners, Frenzic, Peggle, Remote, Rolando, Shazam, Skype, Things, Toki Tori, Twitterrific, Worms, and a couple of apps I've developed (one of which is Aspects (http://www.codesparq.com/aspects/), which is currently in the hands of Apple for approval).

And yes, looking at that list, I realize a good number of them are games. What can I say? I love games! :o

My #1 complaint about the app store? The lack of sub-categories. "Utilities" is a VERY broad term, and searching by keyboard is a poor way to look for things based on categories. I wish Apple would introduce sub-categories.

As of today (less than a week of becoming an iPhone-convert), I'm using Things, PocketMoney and iHappyDays :) Will be looking into other apps and games soon. I also agree that App Store should introduce subcategories. Apps are pouring in on a daily basis and Apple should look into something to manage and sort them accordingly for ease of searching, reviewing and purchasing apps.

Bought Spb Wallet and Dictionary.com app yesterday.

Am looking for free Instant Messanging app now. I'm torn between eBuddy, Fring and Palringo Lite. I don't need a lot of feature, just a nice-looking free IM app to login to my Windows Live Messenger account (sending/receiving files will be a bonus). Any thoughts?
