As usual, the release notes are extremely informative (laugh), stating: This update is recommended for all Safari users and improves the stability of the Nitro JavaScript engine and includes the latest compatibility and security fixes."

According to the Apple announcement, this fixes a few security problems involving WebKit and "memory allocation for numeric character references." It also fixes some stability problems with the "Nitro Javascript" engine. The issues involved affect OS X as well as Windows XP and Vista. This is also one of the updates that requires restart after installation.

I've had some periodic crashes, more so with this version than I had with the beta version for some reason so I'm hoping this will take care of that issue. Anyone else had random crashing?
