It was a successful product by any number of measures, including the unofficial "modders dream" device with owners adding GPS modules, installing different OS, upgrading memory, etc."</em></p><p><em><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/dht/auto/1244056161.usr10.jpg" style="border: 0;" /></em></p><p>Since the 10v is mostly the same except for the slightly larger screen, it makes sense to discontinue the 9. &nbsp;I'm assuming the 10 has out sold the 9 by a considerable margin since being released, making this a pretty easy decision for Dell. &nbsp;Having netbooks with both 9 and 10 inch screens, I do think the 10 inch models are the best fit for a majority of users.</p><p><em></em></p>

Yeah, I think that's exactly what happened - 9 inch and 10 inch screens are pretty close together. 10 inch and 12 inch are a more logical difference...though, personally, I think 12 inches gets to be a bit too close to my regular laptop at 13.3 inches.
