it looks like Microsoft is offering a "deal" to the Zune 30 users out there. You can get up to $70 credit towards a purchase of a v2 Zune device.
While this might be tempting to people who own a broken 30, I think it smells of something else....Microsoft is going to stop offering firmware upgrades on the Zune30.
My Zune30 works just fine, and I have quite a large investment in original Zune30 accessories (travel pack doesn't work with v2 Zunes). If they abandon me with firmware updates I'll be greatly disappointed.
