Back in 3rd quarter 2008 they had 13% market share on sales of 4.7 million. Still, this is nothing to sneeze at, although it is expected that the next quarter of this year won't be quite as stellar. Why is that? The expected announcement of a new iPhone of course!&nbsp;</p>

Being locked in to one carrier is going to continue to lock down Apple's numbers and let's face it - ATT has not had that great of a track record so it would be great (for Apple) if they could start branching out to other GSM (or dare I even hope for CDMA/G4 ) carriers...

Apple should start selling Sim free devices here in the US as it does in Europe; also allowing apps to work in the background would surely help.
I use Pocketinformant and the limitations it has on the iPhone are really frustrating.
