wrong track order in software but not in edit album info page

hi. i am having trouble with random albums being in the wrong track order in the software but when going to edit album info page......the track numbers are in the correct order. The tracks are also in the correct order in the music folder where all my music is kept. they will play in order out of music folder but not in zune software. they are also in order on zune device and play in order there as well. any thoughts?

your issue is with your tags, i'm sure of it.

make sure you are using id3.v2.3 tags and that the metadata is correct.

mp3tag works for most, you can use wmp, i-tunes, or media monkey too.

once you're sure the tags are correct, rebuild your collection by renaming the zunestore.sdf file (you'll loose all your podcasts too, sorry).

you should see them correctly after a reboot when the collection is rebuilt (a software restart prior doesn't hurt if a lot of files are missing that were there before).
