From what I've read it isn't for all Macbooks, as the uni-body <a href="http://www.apple.com/macbook/" target="_blank">Macbooks</a> don't appear to be affected by it. Basically what it fixes is the ability for the battery to hold a charge when you shut down your polycarbonate <a href="http://www.apple.com/macbook/white/" target="_blank">Macbook</a> and don't use it for an extended period of time.
