Hey, at least this would have generated some buzz.

All I can say is, Palm, the stage is 100% yours. You couldn't have even dreamed of fewer competing headlines from CES or MacWorld. Don't screw it up!

Wow, condemning CES already and it hasn't even started yet. Harsh!

You know if you had just posted this as a funny (which it was) without needing to remind the sponsors and members that read this forum how much you hate Apple . . . .

Ah what the heck. Maybe they missed it the first 500 times.

Oh yeah, I totally hate Apple - I hate Apple so much I launched an Apple site and am putting as much effort as I can into making it successful. Yup, you've got me all figured out. Come on, lighten up! Don't be the stereotypical touchy Mac user that gets upset when someone says something bad about Macs. :)

LOL ok Jason. So you don't plan to make any money with Apple related product advertising ?

I don't follow. You believe that because I comment that a funny video reminds me of what I don't like about Apple, I somehow will never sell Apple-related ads on Apple Thoughts? That's not the way things work in the online advertising world...or are you talking about Apple themselves advertising with us? I doubt that will happen, but if it were to, it wouldn't be de-railed by the fact that I talk about not liking things about Apple sometimes.

Yeah, basically I just don't understand what you're talking about.

edit: Nevermind. Not worth getting into this with you again. On a side note I discovered quite by accident thoughtsmedia.com. I really like the layout and it will become my new portal.

Hey, at least you got reasonably polite responses. When he told me to lighten up and I sent him a PM, you should have seen the response (on Christmas Eve no less). "Touchy" would be an extreme understatement.

I bet Santa didn't even leave coal that night (that can at least heat the house). :D

As for the joke, Saturday Night Live has done some decent send-ups of Jobs. Maybe we'll see the iPod Femto -- one song capacity, no shuffle needed. ;)

Just feels like it has since we've had so many pre-announcements. Perhaps there'll be a surprise, but based on the news I'm expecting nothing but thin TV's, HD camcorders, netbooks, and gimmicky twin-screen laptops. :)

Well, to be fair Steve, we know you have the unique ability to drive anyone insane. :D

Ha! That was hilarious! Thanks for posting this. Come on you guys, you're taking this too seriously. Laugh at life a little. It's not like you don't make jokes about Microsoft.

BTW, certainly no fanboy but I do sport an iPhone.

To MacGuy: Lighten up. Learn to take a joke.

To the rest: Pretty funny. Though I have to say after a while Apple parodies are going to get old. I mean, it's the same old thing about Apple zombies and overpriced hardware...

CES hasn't started yet! Hang on, there might still be a few interesting things. Though what I'm looking forward to is PMA.

Learn to read. I had no problem with the parody.

I love the final jab at the end... Reminds me perfectly of my feelings towards Mac computers.

It remains to be seen if the Wheel will catch on in the business world, where people use computers for actual work and not just dicking around.

As a side note, the one guy that has a Mac at my work place runs Windows on it at least 95% of the time.

Next, I don't see any problem with Jason openly stating his opinion of Apple. First, as he stated, it clearly is not manifested as a bias in any way except for his personal buying decisions. Apple Thoughts seems to be chugging full steam ahead, and I doubt he would turn down Apple's advertising money, even if he had the capability to.

Secondly, that feels like a double standard... I bet you would have been mum if he posted the exact same thing, but replace all instances of Apple with Microsoft. I suppose it's "in" to bash Microsoft, but call me a free rights advocate. (BTW, to head responses off at the pass, I don't care if you would never speak against Microsoft. My point is that you would not speak against someone speaking against Microsoft, as was done in this case regarding Apple.)

But then again, I myself am not a big fan of Apple's philosophies.

Cool, I have a unique ability. Now I just need to find some way to earn money from it. Maybe I can go bother some RIAA or MPAA lawyers. :)
