Is there any way of getting them without installing the Amazon Installer?

In my experience you need the installer whenever you are getting a freebie, or when you buy a whole album. I'm sure it is part of the plan to get people to use the installer and then be more likely to buy full albums. But, I've been using the installer for a while with no problem so I would not worry about it.

Yeah the downloader's really lightweight and easy-to-install. But there really aren't that many features, and I wonder why they don't just distibute it as a standalone (no dependencies) program? Why an install process?
