Join the user group and you'll join a beta program that will allow you to test and use Telmap Navigator for free. Navigator is a turn-by-turn in-car navigation application, complete with 3D moving maps, traffic and speed camera information, text-to-speech capabilities, pedestrian support, and local search for millions of POIs around the world.

To register, visit www.telmap.com/tugpc. Feedback can be addressed to tugadmin [at] telmap [dot] com.

Update #1: The folks at Telmap have just written in to inform us that they've been overwhelmed by Pocket PC Thoughts readers interested in testing Navigator. As a result, they will soon be imposing a limit on the number of registrations in order to keep the group to a manageable size. So, if you want in, you'd better scoot off to the registration page before it's too late. We'll post a second update once the doors have closed.

Update #2: Telmap has received plenty of US registrations, so the limit is on US registrations only. The company is still welcoming registrations from readers based in other countries.

You forgot to mention, USA maps not included. :( At least none that I could find.

Yes they are. It streams the map data, kinda look google maps. I'm currently in Texas, followed that link, signed up, instantly got a sms to the download link, installed it and now i'm testing it out. Just set a destination from san antonio to austin and it mapped it just right.

App still needs some work though. Its a little slow and when you exit it prompts you "Are you sure you want to exit <application-name>?" haha someone over looked something...

Looks like Canadian users are out of luck as well, since Canada isn't one of the available selections.

Ok, I still couldn't get USA, BUT I had it MAP ME and now I can pick places in HAWAII. And for once, the names of places almost sound like names. Haha!

Hey, anybody else noticed that this program causes massive delay in MS Voice command? I press my VC button and nothing happens for like a minute or so later. Once I quit the program, a minute or so later, it'll start working like normal again, so I know its the program.

Also, maybe its just me, but for once, I wasn't getting bad map lag like I do with TT or iGO or G.Maps.

They probably updated the form to reflect the limit on US registrations. The US was a selectable option earlier in the day; I can't quite recall if Canada was, though (sorry, Don!).

I'm assuming that like almost every other vendor on the planet they assumed that Canada is the same as the US.
