http://store.apple.com/us/browse/ca...ns/black_friday

So Apple has lifted the curtain and unveiled their Black Friday sale prices. Some of the deals are pretty good ($101 off a MacBook, for example) and may warrant a look if you're in that market. Of course, the best part of the sale is that not everything for sale is made by Apple. They have a Canon Digital Rebel XSI (I wonder if that changed from the XSi to the XS?) for $498 with the EF-S 18-55 F.3.5-5.6 IS lens and the V-Moda Vibe Duos for $78 (they're regularly $109 in the store, which is what I just paid for my new pair). Don't wait, though, because this is a one-day only sale.

Overall it won't shake the earth to its core, but it will save you a few coins. Share your sale successes with us in the forums so we can all revel in a few sheckles saved!

You got me all aflutter, but it's the Rebel XS, not the XSi (at least now it is). $498 is a decent, but not remarkable deal for the XS. For the XSi, it would have been amazing.

I wonder if that changed... Or if I just assumed the i...
Thanks for the heads up!

As usual, these Black Friday deals from Apple are nothing special, but I wouldn't turn them down.

I think if I was in the market, they'd be nice, but you're right... There's nothing in the "sale" that made me think "I need to go out and buy some stuff." Kind of a shame, really. They had a big opportunity here to really make a splash. The deals were good, but not compellingly so.

We were planning to buy my son a MacBook for his birthday in early January, so I went ahead and ordered it yesterday. And my Nano 1G's battery is starting to spit the bit, so I bought myself a new Nano and arm case for running while I was at it. It was better than paying full price, that's for sure.

Wow... You did well :-)
I didn't end up buying anything. I didn't really need anything that was on sale and, as I said, my MBP purchase in November really drained my bank account pretty badly!
