I wonder if they have improved the Windows version of it. TouchFlo in Vista is so far from the OSX buttery smoothness. This is the one thing that bugs me with Apple and Microsoft. They both do half hearted efforts when it comes to most of their software on the others platform. For example, MSN messenger is so dated next to the Windows version and we all know about the drama that came around with iTunes and Vista when it first came out....even though Vista RC1 had been out for months.

Think I'll only get it for OSX right now....and stay with Winamp for Windows.

If you want to see a half-hearted effort of the highest order, check out Pivot tables in Excel for Mac ;-)

Yeah... Truth is, neither is probably very interested in making the opposing platform more attractive.

Oh trust me I've been there.... *sigh*

Forgot to address this part.

It looks like most of the updates are OSX related anyway, so I doubt it would matter if you skipped it on Windows for the immediate future.

I wonder if this update has more to do with iPhone 2.2 and its ability to download podcasts on the device? In other words, they needed to add support in iTunes for updating podcast content from the device to iTunes, which used to happen only the other way. Maybe.
