What's up with the LG Incite?

This is very weird. On 11/18 there were a smattering of announcements about ATT releasing a Windows Mobile smartphone called the LG Incite. But apparently there have been no previews or even real pictures of the phone.

Now two days later, there is still no new information. No reviews, no unboxings, no photo galleries.

I went to an ATT store on the the 18th and they said they had two in stock in the back but no display model (read: dummy model). The person I spoke to couldn't even tell me when he would have something to show people.

If it wasn't for sights like engadget posting it I would almost think it was a hoax.

Does this seem odd to anyone else?

Yes.
Typically when a phone is released there are pictures, unboxings and the like. Only a few sights that I've even heard of have any mention of this release.

I haven't heard buzz around this phone. Somewhat understandably, though - it's not terribly exciting or attractive, IMO.

Also, an interesting article (in light of your post) by someone who thinks there is buzz around this phone.

Thanks for the link. It doesn't seem like a very inspiring offering given everything else out there. Or announced.
