The article is definitely funny :)

I think it is too early to start comparing the two OSes. The problem with Windows is (and will remain) the DLL Hell, the Registry fragmentation and the way applications have to be installed on the OS. As long as nothing is being done, Mac OS will always be better than Windows...The features don't really matter, the way the computer works does matter!

I think the next two OSes (Windows 7 and Snow Leopard) are going to be eveolutionary to the point where people are going to be disappointed. I know from talking to people that Snow Leopard's improvements are almost exclusively under the hood. I imagine most of Windows 7 is pretty similar if not the same as Vista.

When customers don't 'feel' the difference, we may have issues.

Windows customers will definitely feel the difference because there are going to be changes in the GUI...

Gotta love the Onion;) I use Vista on my iMac. So far, no problems with it. It gets annoying that it asks so many times if I want to do something, but that is really a minor issue.

Based on early builds of each, Snow Leopard appears to be about performance improvements and taking better advantage multicore processors and advanced GPU's. W7 is making some changes to the UI but it's also about getting out of the way of the user. I have no major complaints with Vista but I prefer the way OS X works. Combined with Apple hardware it makes for a very satisfying experience.

I didn't really find it funny....to me there needs to be some amount of truth for it to be funny. The Mac ad about the Vista "secret agent" was way funny cause it was true. For me I use both OS's and have no issue with either OS....they both have their pros and cons.
